The Michigan Helicopter Association (MHA) exists to bring together people who share an interest in helicopters including private, commercial, police, and EMS operations, to enjoy fellowship, learn from one another, and celebrate the role of rotorcraft and heliports in Michigan aviation.
We connect and advocate for Michigan’s helicopter community, keeping members informed on FAA updates and promoting safe, responsible flight. The MHA also maintains a growing library of approved off-airport “Permission to Land” sites, giving members access to some of the state’s most enjoyable and unique destinations.
By joining, you become part of a community working to strengthen and expand helicopter operations throughout Michigan while protecting the freedom and adventure of flight.
Membership
Membership is open to anyone who supports helicopter safety and access, no pilot license or aircraft ownership required. Members receive an official MHA patch, invitations to fly-ins and events, regulatory updates, and access to our exclusive off-airport landing library.
Annual dues are collected each spring, and our yearly banquet is a highlight, bringing members together for networking, updates, and a chance to help shape the year ahead.
